“Nose: Peach and passion fruit explosion, fragrant orange blossom with bits of grape fruit, orange leaf tea
Mouth: Medium body, fresh and soft tannins, with a little astringency in the final taste, adding an extra layer of
flavor.
Climate: 2021 had a very wet and cold Winter and Spring – Frost killed production by 30%. Early Summer had some showers that led to heavy pressure on fungus disease. Even though days were colder by the ocean, in Setubal, due to the protection of Arrabida mountain, this plot continued to benefit from a continental climate. Grapes were harvested in early days of September and refreshed with arinto from Torres Vedras.
Vinification: Handpicked grapes in Poceirão and brought to our neighbors winery. Mechanical crushing and
destemming o f grapes and transferred to an open lagar. Indigenous yeasts fermentation with skin contact for approximately 7 days. Gentle pressing to old oak barrels where it completes malolactic.
Racking before bottling, unfiltered and 45mg total sulphur added.”
