“STH (south) is sourced from the Derwent and Coal River Valley’s in southern Tasmania.
From three different sites across the Derwent and the Coal River Valleys. It is the most dark fruited of the sub regional releases, driven by the mature fruit from Nocton Vineyard. It saw around 25% whole bunches in the blend overall, balancing the density and structure we find in these southern vineyards.“

“Fruit for the STH (south) is sourced from two sites: Kinvarra (70%) in the Derwent Valley and Brinktop (30%) in the Coal River Valley. This is usually the darkest-fruited of the subregional releases, driven by Kinvarra Vineyard’s mature vines and the local black clay and hard, rocky soils. Like last year, however, the 2024 has a distinct floral prettiness to complement the powerful flavour and structural profile. The fruit fermented in open-top vessels with 15% whole bunches. The wine matured for 10 months in barriques, 10% of which were new.”
