Thomson Whisky began as a small project in 2009, bottling New Zealand whisky from the defunct, industrial distillery Willowbank, before blossoming into full scale production by 2014. Since then, Thomson Whisky has been producing some of New Zealands best spirits, taking Gold medals in spirits competitions around the world. At the helm is Mathew Thomson, long time home-distiller and malt experimenter, responsible for pioneering the unique Manuka smoked malts the distillery is so well known for.
We were lucky to get a glimpse of Thomson last year at the Whisky Fair, and now its time for them to join us in the tasting from for an exceptional night, with Mathew introducing us to some of the distillery’s latest limited edition and small batch releases!
On the night we will be trying some of the distillery’s most well known editions, along with the Allier and Cask Martin limited releases, and even some special cask samples provided by Mathew on the night! As lovers of great Australian Single Malt whisky, we welcome the competition from across the pond!
