“The 2023 Synergy Semillon is tight and pithy on the nose, leading with scratched lemon and bath salt, a hint of leafy thyme/sage (actually, it’s really quite like the smell of fresh sage in the garden right after it’s been watered) and nashi pear skin in the mouth. The phenolics have a pleasing, bitter almond/green almond quality through to the finish. It’s a lovely wine, coiled, pristine, austere… 94pts.”
