The second “peated” release from Starward, originally released in 2022. This release featured Starward’s characteristic red wine cask single malt whisky matured for an extended duration in heavily used Islay whisky barrels from a secret distillery*. Compared to the Unexpeated, this one feels more earthy, balancing out Starward’s bright fruit and red frog flavours with a subtle, well integrated inland peat smoke.

Official Tasting Notes:
Nose: Bright tropical fruits, toasted oak followed by a hint of sweet peat.
Palate: Ripe red fruits, subtle peat smoke, yellow peach and mocha.
Finish: Palate slowly dries from the oak and has very long peated finish
