The Smoky Scot encapsulates both the subtle, floral sweetness, and the tar and brine peat of the Caol Ila Distillery. Five years in bourbon casks, before bottling at 46% abv creates a wonderfully drinkable dram.
Official Tasting Notes:
The initial notes of tar, old wood, brine and smoke gradually give way to a more subtle, flowery and malty bouquet. There is roasted sunflower seeds, generous maltiness and a hint of menthol.
