A small batch of eight hogsheads from Glen Elgin distillery were used to create this single malt, distilled in 2008 and aged for more than 13 years. This is a bright, zesty fruit bomb.
Region: Speyside
Tasting Notes:
Nose: The nose is instantly reminiscent of a beautiful vanilla custard with orange blossom water delicately folded through. Lovely, ripe peach slices are placed on top with a generous drizzle of clover honey and dark chocolate shavings.
Palate: Juicy peach once again shines through, this time with creamy coconut flesh and a sprinkle of cinnamon and clove. Sweet lemon has been zested and the oils create a welcome freshness to the palate.
Finish: In the finish, the peach, honey and lemon combines with a black tea element that leaves you with the feeling of a refreshing iced peach tea on a summer’s day.
