This bottling from Glenlossie came from three first fill Bourbon casks, numbered 3392, 3396 and 3400. After 12 Years it was bottled under the UCF label at 46%. This malt is all orchard fruits, with a bouquet of fresh, fruit flavours on that nose that carry through to the palate and finish. Its this sort of bottling that makes us love the Unchillfiltered collection so much.
Tasting Notes:
Nose:Â Fresh and fruity with some malty sweetness, creamy vanilla, ripe apple and pears with some underlying citrus notes.
Palate:Â Orchard fruits bursting on the palate, apple and pears with hints of vanilla and citrus and plenty of wonderful spices.
Finish:Â Medium to long with ripe pears, vanilla and spicy oak.
Signatory Vintage are one of the veterans of Independently Bottled Scotch Whisky. Founded in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symington. The name ‘Signatory’ was derived from the initial intention to find a person of suitable standing to sign the labels for bottles drawn from a single cask.Â
