This bottling from Ardmore was distilled in 2012, and bottled at 12 Years of age. The spirit spent time in 2nd-Fill Bourbon casks, which previously held Laphroaig Single Malt! The result is a mildly peaty, vanilla bomb of a whisky!

Nose:Â Vanilla, maritime peat, a soft bouquet of orchard fruit slices, veering towards apple fritters…
Palate:Â More of those apple-custard danish notes, with a mild peat influence that lingers more in the aroma than on the palate. Good spirit weight, without becoming too intense
Finish:Â Lingering oak spice, vanilla cream, soft peat
Ardmore was built in 1898 and has been a key ingredient in the Teacher’s blend throughout its history. It’s one of the few highland distilleries that has continued a regime of lightly peated their whisky. The peat is sourced locally from St Fergus and makes up about 60 percent of their annual production.
