The new kid of the range has, like all the little ones, been the subject of special attention.
I thought it would be interesting to age the last year of the century in a separate and unique cellar. The entire 1999 harvest has aged in the cellar of Villeneuve-Haut, slightly less humid than those of Montendres. It was bottled at the end of 2017.
Aromatically, it is the bridge between the flower of Napoleon and the fruits of the old reserve (X.O.). The aroma of Napoleon’s vine flower intensifies and becomes more captivating; the fruity side of the old reserve appears. This combination of aromas, as well as the aging in dryer cellars, give a higher liveliness and make it a more “intense” cognac. Its success with our amateur customers confirms us in the style of the house: single year and single vintage cognac.
