The energy and freshness here draws you in and gives you a really good cuddle. So too the grip and pucker of slate-like tannin hugging the palate. Thanks! Red cherry, rose hip tea, tart raspberry, some sweet spice and a touch of alpine herb and root beer going on. Sloshes around the palate well, almost loose knit but for the tannin stretch delivering some fine, drying tension. Finishes bright, blood orange tangy, a little spicy. Lush and lovely, lighter weight red. 93pts.”

“Light red.. Dark rosé, does it matter… sit back, relax & enjoy the ride. We’re in safe hands here with excellent Grenache fruit grown by Cory Hope up in the Pyrenees at the Shays Flat site. Cory manages 50 hectares of vines over three sites in the valley which are all farmed certified organic, a huge undertaking in my book. It’s one of the best sets of vineyards in the Pyrenees which we are so lucky to have access to these sites. Here we have Grenache, with Inspiration taken from a little region called Tavel in the southern Rhône of France. 3 harvests quite a few techniques in the cellar – 30% whole bunch, Infusion, Cab Mac, concrete fermenter etc, basket pressed off directly to barrel. 8 months elevage in various sized casks, estate bottled straight after racking for cask. This vintage of Presence is looking absolutely excellent, so fine, so pure excellent fruit with great fine tannin to back it all up.”
