Campbeltown’s Glengyle distillery, producer of Kilkerran whisky, has had a tumultous history; over 150 years the distillery has been bought and sold, opened and closed many times. In 2000, however, it once more returned to the family that founded it in 1872, the Mitchell family. Often touted as the sister distillery to Springbank, many whisky lovers have come to appreciate Kilkerran for its own merits; the result being that these days it is as difficult to source as Springbank.
We are very fortunate then to have Kilkerran’s Sales & Marketing Executive visiting from Scotland, and bringing the good stuff with her to share with our wonderful whisky community! Fiona McFadyen is part of the Sales & Marketing team at Mitchell’s Glengyle, looking after Kilkerran in a number of international markets.
We have been lucky enough to host Fiona several times before, and this time she will be bringing over several special bottles to share with us!
