This release from the Kilchoman distillery, bottled in 2022, focuses on Portuguese red wine casks. The whisky was aged for six years in 38 fresh bourbon barrels and then finished for two years in two 6,000L Portugese red wine vats, before yielding 12,900 bottles at 46% abv.

Nose: Ripe summer fruits and a touch of marzipan with layers of maritime notes.
Palate: Pepper and spicy with a fresh fruit and salty peat smoke.
Finish: Waves of hot, spicy character with cooked fruits and lasting sweetness.
