This is a truly rare whisky. With most sherried expressions derived from Ex Px and Ex Oloroso barrels, the driest of the Sherry Wines throws us to the other side of the aromatic spectrum found in Sherry. Predominant aromatics are light, floral, almonds, citrus and on the palate we have honey, green apple, floral, almond. This is a 4 year old making it a grand daddy at Joadja and it comes from a first fill 250L Sherry Butt. 500mL, 48% abv. Limited Release of 216 bottles.
Founded in 2014 by Valero & Elisa Jimenez, in the Joadja valley, the distillery prides itself in its high quality, freshly imported sherry casks, which often enter the country with the wine still inside them! Their locally grown barley & impressive cask regieme regularly creates a spirit that is both unique to the region, and high quality.
