A 28-year-old single cask from an undisclosed irish distillery, bottled by Antique Lions Of Whisky – a series which is gorgeous is both appearance and flavour.
This was distilled in 1989 at an undisclosed Irish distillery and matured in an ex-bourbon cask. Bottled in 2017, there are just 211 bottles worldwide.
The Irish single malts from the Antique series have been absolutely stunning releases and a rumoured to come from a surprising source. Elegant, complex and beguiling.
A very special release of whisky that created quite a stir when they were first released in Europe in 2018, the ‘Savannah’ series is the third release from Antique Lions Of Whisky. The bottles and presentation boxes feature scenes of exotic animals.
The indie bottler was formed by Jens Drewitz of Germany’s Sansibar alongside Italian whisky merchants Max Righi (Silver Seal) and Diego Sandrin (Whisky Antique).
This release is a homage to the Moon Import bottlings prominent in Europe in the ‘90s and ‘00s. Often beautifully stylised, this homage series has some of the best packaging we’ve ever seen.
The whiskies have been selected to have an ‘old world European’ style, so expect them to be soft, elegant and fruity with fantastic poise.
Having secured and presented the Birds series in 2017 and the Butterfly series in 2018, we are proud to have again secured a small allocation from the Savannah series.
