“Poached strawberry, brown pear, almond paste. It tightens up a bit with something of a pink grapefruit flavour in with the nutty red fruits, has plenty of pleasing grainy tannin grip, a good amount of crunch, and a finish of excellent length and chalky traction. There’s a slight herbal stalky element to the wine too, a light amaro thing, though I like that as it adds a little extra frisson. I love this wine. Gris is the word. 94pts.”
