“From a single site in Piccadilly on clay quartz sandstone. Wild ferment with (30% new) French oak for maturation.
Soft, gentle, curiously concentrated in a way with almond, just-ripe pineapple, nectarine, red apple and some natural yoghurt characters. It’s very relaxed and yet has a core of very briny, mineral-charged acidity with a long, trailing, pleasingly bitter finish. A light dusting of cinnamon spice amongst all this. A succulence and freshness even with the modest sense of generosity. This should mature spectacularly too. 95+pts.”
