An incredibly rich expression from Benriach, finished in Ratafia Champenois casks for that signature Dumangin sweetness. This bottling has the faintest whiff of Benriach’s low peat, with the rich, fruity bouquet of fruity flavours associated with the fortified wine finish.
Gilles Dumangin, fifth generation champagne grower, began giving his Ratafia Champenois barrels a new life, purchasing spirits to be finished in France and bottled under the “Specialites Dumangin” brand. The resulting whisky releases have been praised for their rich and unique character.
