The traditional style of Glenglassaugh is fruity and honeyed.
From Whiskybase, “A nice fruity sipper. Baked apple tart with whipped cream. Hints of spice, varnish, dry grass and lemon peel”.
Official notes read, “Honeycomb, strudel, posh vanilla ice cream, faint spice. Pears, vanilla pods, Demerara sugar. Dry biscuity finish”.
Cadenhead is Scotland’s oldest independent bottler, having being founded in 1842 as William Cadenhead Limited Wine & Spirit Merchants. It was family owned until it was bought by another family company J&A Mitchell & Co, owners of the Springbank and Glengyle distilleries.
