The third batch from the English Whisky Company distillery is a 12 Year Old Single Malt, a release of just 409 bottles at 63.4% abv. Matured in a single first-fill ex-bourbon American Oak barrel.
The English Whisky Company led the new wave of English whisky makers when they released the first English single malt for more than a hundred years in 2009! They use some of the best barley, grown in Norfolk, and superb Breckland water to make their whisky.
Offical Notes:
Nose: Delightfully delicate, with butterscotch, light honey, floral – spring blossom, backed up with oak spices.
Palate: Gently warming with creamy custard cream biscuits, spicy oak, vanilla essence, clove, and a long satisfying finish.
