From the archive, a 2015 single cask bottling of Black Gate single malt whisky. Distilled in July 2021, matured in Port cask #BG021 and bottled three years later in September 2017 at 49.3% abv.
Cask #BG021 followed a wide pause in releases from the beloved Mendooran distillery. This was Black Gate’s first venture into Port cask aging, and came out deep and rich, becoming something of a cult classic (and one of our favourites).
This bottle is number #138 of only 213 produced.
