Barrel & Batch are back with another exquisite JD Barrel Pick. Some Jack Daniel’s tastes like creme brulee, some Jack Daniel’s tastes like banana lollies, this one hits you with both. 64.5% abv, 210 bottles.
“Upon the initial encounter, the nose is greeted by a symphony of maple sugars and toasted oak, heightened by a delicate touch of candied orange that adds a citrusy zest.
The mouthfeel is thick and velvety texture. Vanilla and Banana sweetness coats the tongue, a moreish extremely balanced delight.
The lingering vanilla sweetness is complemented by a delicate interplay of wood spice. Sweet maple sugars again all the way to the finish, and candied fruits coming into play before the flavour rounds off.”
Barrel & Batch is an Australia whisky co-op that sources single cask and rare whiskies from all over the country including Scotland, American and Australia. The limited release whiskies are offered to members of the co-op, but here at The Oak Barrel we’re lucky enough to get our hands on a small number of the odd release.
