Join us on Friday the 11th of April, as Andrew Baker of Bakery Hill joins us once more in our tasting room! Bakery Hill have been friends of the Oak Barrel for what feels like forever, our first tasting events with them going as far back as 2011!
Bakery Hill has recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary, a sensational achievement for the first mainland distillery built as part of the modern whisky renaissance. Having fought and worked to get Australian whisky recognition not only internationally, but domestically as well, Bakery Hill has at times flown under the radar.
A distillery not akin to brash marketing splashes Andrew Baker and family have always let the quality of the whisky do the talking and have conscientiously worked in the past decade to build up stocks. That’s no easy task, given that the majority of their releases are over seven years old and more than a few see over a decade in the barrel.
We will be running through a few of Bakery Hill’s signature whiskies. including their newly released Blend, along with some incredibly special drams, namely the Blunderbuss, Little French Pete, and a special cask sample Andrew will be bringing on the night!
