“Attilio Ghisolfi Nebbiolo comes from young south/south-east facing vines. The Nebbiolo is matured for 12 months in oak barrels and a further 6 months in the bottle before its release.
Nebbiolo is the superstar grape variety behind the top-quality red wines from Piedmont in Italy’s northwest, and in particular, the heady, powerful reds of Barolo. The Attilio Ghisolfi is an approachable style with much finer tannins than its bigger brother Barolo.
The Nebbiolo is a bright ruby red and the nose is floral, intense and ample. The taste is warm, savoury and silky with moderate tannins and a long finish. Pair with roasted white meats.”
