The fourth release of Buffalo Trace's OFC overaged bourbon series, this 1994 vintage is 25-year-old.
OFC refers to Old Fashioned Copper, the original name of the distillery site that is now Buffalo Trace. Previous editions were gifted to charitable organisations and have been highly sought after.
As well as being exceptionally rare bourbon whiskey, the packaging is also grandiose. The bottle is a crystal decanter with copper inlaid lettering.
Very limited allocations into Australia.
Buffalo Trace is the distillery behind other cult bourbons like Pappy Van Winkle, Eagle Rare and Sazerac.
Official Tasting notes:
Lots of cherry on the nose followed by butterscotch with hints of brown sugar and oak. Toasted caramel, cinnamon and oak greet the palate, followed by a long finish of coffee, herbs and oak.
