If you’re being responsible by self-and-socially isolating at the moment, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be drinking great wine.

The Oak Barrel’s Wine Specialist Joe Perry has put together a 'To Your Door' White Wine Pack designed for this unprecedented period in our lives.

He’s chosen six wines covering a range of white wine styles, that are not only incredibly good value for what they are – but excellent bang-for-buck as well.

We’re offering them at $110, or $99 for members (that’s $16.50 per bottle) with free shipping included.

We can send all around Australia, but if you are in the Sydney CBD we can also offer free same day delivery if you order before 11am.

Here’s a few notes from Joe about each of the wines, stay safe and wash your hands.

Hahndorf Hill White Mischief Gruner Veltliner 2019 (Adelaide Hills, South Australia)

Fantastic new world Gruner Veltliner, bright, floral white flowers with fresh citrus fruits and ripe pear and apple. A great introduction to this famous Austrian variety.

Yarram Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2015 (Regional Victoria)

A beautiful, aromatic sauvignon blanc from a cooler climate. It's zesty and citrus driven, with a tropical passionfruit and gooseberry nose. There's a refreshing note of freshly cut grass and fresh spices on the palate. One of our go to sauvignon blancs all year round. Great with grilled fish!

Chateau le Grand Verdus Bordeaux Blanc 2016 (Bordeaux, France)

A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, Fresh, bright, enticingly aromatic. It is seductive, with delightful fruity hints of white flowers, peaches and a lingering mineral intensity. Enjoy, over the next two years plus as an aperitif.

Elephant in the Room Jumbo Chardonnay 2019 (Limestone Coast, South Australia)
One for the old school Chardonnay lovers, nice rich oak influence. Fresh pear, apple, quince and honeysuckle. A lovely purity and minerality glide across the palate to give a refreshing feel. Our first pick for any prawn, mussel or crayfish dishes on a warm day.

Irvine Spring Hill Pinot Gris 2019 (Eden Valley, South Australia)

Fresh, vibrant and deliciously approachable. Pinot Gris is an amazingly versatile variety, from light and fresh to layered and complex.Lovely soft layering is created by minimal skin contact, cool ferment and some post ferment yeast contact. A modern take on Pinot Gris which we can't get enough of!

Robert Oatley Great Southern Riesling (Great Southern, Western Australia)

Wow, what a Riesling! Green apple, lime peel, and a zippy acidity. A staple riesling we rely on every time. Lots of minerality in this one with a slatey mouthfeel. Utterly moreish.
