The latest allocation of single cask and independently bottled whiskies from North Star have arrived in Australia, so it’s time we organised a get together to try them!
We’ll be exploring the latest series, 017, and we have quite a line-up for you. We'll be exploring an eclectic array of single cask single malt releases from Arran, Glenallachie, Glen Grant, Glasgow and a Secret Speyside distillery (it could be anything, even G***rothes).
We will also be trying an Oak Barrel exclusive North Star Bunnahabhain, that was selected by former Whisky and Spirits Educator, Scott Fitzsimons; the release of which, was nearly a year in the making.
The tasting will be hosted by North Star importer Scott Farrow from Wonderland Drinks, alongside the Oak Barrel's Josh Fischer.
North Star is a Glasgow-based independent bottler which emerged a few years ago and quickly made a name for themselves with their striking bottles, consistent quality and incredible value. They are a perennial favourite of The Oak Barrel and each new series is a cause for celebration here. This will be a wide-ranging and fascinating evening with some excellent whiskies from one of Scotland’s best young independent bottlers.
