A 9-year-old American whiskey from the Heaven Hill distillery, bottled by Scottish indie North Star.
A fire-breathing expression, this was distilled September 2009 and matured in a bourbon barrel before it was finished in a hogshead which previously held whisky from Ardbeg on Islay.
Bottled September 2018 at 66.1%.
North Star is Glasgow-based independent bottler run by Iain Croucher. They’re quickly become one of the most exciting and respected bottlers in Scotland. As well as Scottish whiskies, they’ve also dabbled in fortified wines and American whiskies, like this.
