A 9-year-old American whiskey from the Heaven Hill distillery, bottled by Scottish indie North Star.
A fire-breathing expression, this was distilled September 2009 and matured in a bourbon barrel before it was finished in a hogshead which previously held whisky from Ardbeg on Islay.
Bottled September 2018 at 66.1%.
North Star is Glasgow-based independent bottler run by Iain Croucher. Theyââ¬â¢re quickly become one of the most exciting and respected bottlers in Scotland. As well as Scottish whiskies, theyââ¬â¢ve also dabbled in fortified wines and American whiskies, like this.
