A limited release rye whisky from the Michters house in Kentucky.
A cask strength version of their veritable rye expression, this has been finished in toasted oak casks. American whisky casks are usually charred, that is flamed quickly, but on a lower heat barrels get a ‘toasted’ effect, giving a different dimension to the maturation.
This is a sweeter take on their classic, with more caramel and burnt brown sugar. A hint of smoke on the finish, with toasted marshmallow and spices.
