Laurent Fell started commercialising his wines in 2012. Success and precision have been the order from the outset. He currently works 4 hectares on south facing slopes at 500m altitude on the edge of the wild and mountainous Cevenes forest. The sheer isolation of these vineyards means they are perfectly situated for organic culture, with no pollutants and endless zones of wild nature encouraging biodiversity. The geology is old sandstone, which provides a sharp, salty minerality to the whites and good structure to the reds.
Laurent vinifies all wines in tank only (no oak) with zero oenological entrants and no SO2 at any stage. Wines are neither fined nor filtered. The resulting drinks are vibrant, juicy, nourishing and delicious, and beautifully long lasting and stable once opened. There is something genius in these bottles.
Gamay is at home in this wild terroir. Sole e Joios is as its name suggests (translation of the Occitan dialect to supple and joyful). Earth, herbs, medium bodied and juicy. Yum !
