The Farm:
The Cemetery Block: Pinot noir grown in the base of the Picadilly valley, alluvial sandy soil over sandstone all day sun and cool valley temperatures. Planted by Jim Griggs (RIP) and now run by Jenny and James Griggs (6th Generation on the farm). The farm is immaculate and meticulous care is taken. The vines are cane pruned.

How the wine was made: 100% destemmed, saignéed and fermented in open topped wooden barred. After 10 days. On skins with occasional plunging is pressed a 680 ceramic egg. The wine is make of the free run component only.

Notes: It’s only 11% but dark ruby lushuosness holds bunches of rhubarb, cinnamon barks with cherry blossoms dancing like fairies on the morning spring tide. The well structured pallet lest you know this wine is the sh*t. Playing in you mouth with a Pandora’s box of characters acting out a romantic sinister opera on a serous subtle tannin bed.
