Made with premium 10 year old sake from the acclaimed Kinmon sake makers and nanko ume (renowned for its high amino acid content and balanced flavour); this is a rich, flavourful and balanced umeshu.
Located in the beautiful agricultural hub of Daisen-shi in Akita prefecture, Kinmon Akita brewery has a proud history of releasing ages sake (koshu) with the current oldest vintage being released being an incredible 1976 brewed bottling.
Initial taste of apricot seed and almond followed by a ripe plum sweetness and a clean, balanced acidic finish. delicious.
We loved this chilled but would work well over ice also.
