One of the most intriguing whisky producing countries in the world, the past decade has seen a huge explosion of interest and demand in the sector.

But how did Japanese whisky get here and where are the market forces coming from? When will supply catch up with demand?

These questions are best answered over a dram so thanks to the team at Drinks By The Dram we've got a tasting pack to flavour our evening of discussion Tuesday 13 April.

The live virtual event will be free to attend as and will be streamed through our Facebook and YouTube pages. We'll be going through the tasting pack during the event, which features two single malts, two blends and a single grain to highlight the breadth of modern Japanese whisky.

What We’ll Be Tasting

We'll be drinking from the Japanese Whisky Tasting Pack, available here. Please note, these are 30ml samples when our regular tastings are 15ml samples, so these are excellent to share with a partner or mate.

How The Tasting Will Work

We'll send out the tasting packs as soon as they're ordered and everyone is welcome to follow along on either The Oak Barrel's Facebook or YouTube pages from 7pm Tuesday 13 April.
