A 12-year-old Irish single malt bottled by The Irishman.
The whiskey has been matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks. A maximum of 6,000 bottles are produced each year.
A single malt, it has been triple distilled – which helps give many Irish whiskies their light, fruity, grassy aromas.
The 12 year old shows the influence of American oak maturation, with keen vanillas and clove. Fruit comes through in apples and pears, while there’s a bit of peppery spice, barley and chocallte.
Sourced from an unnamed Irish distillery, The Irishman is a label of Walsh Whiskey, who are based in Carlow. Walsh Whiskey are also responsible for the Writers Tears whiskey.Â
