A fantastic, soft single grain Irish whiskey bottled by Hyde.
An independent bottler with a growing prominence in Australia, this was distilled in a Coffey Still (probably at Cooley distillery) from corn and barley grains.
It has been matured for six years in a first-fill ex-bourbon cask, sourced from Kentucky.
A great example of a single grain, it's soft and moreish with plenty of vanilla and coconut.
It is "No. 3" in Hyde's range of expressions.
Official tasting notes:
Nose: Cinnamon and clove with succulent sweet caramel flavours. Complex and spicy with sweet American bourbon notes.
Palate: Robust single grain spices with a touch of cracked black pepper give way to a buttery vanilla and charred oak taste.
Finish: Long and satisfying, ending with a silky combination of oak and barley.
