The Hakushu Sherry Cask 2013 is the sister release to the legendary Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013; one of the most sought-after Japanese whiskies. The Hakushu release is slightly fruitier than it's Yamazaki counterpart, and contains notes of morello cherries, turkish delight and bitter chocolate.
Built in 1973, Hakushu was at one point the biggest malt whisky distillery in the world. Its whiskies showcase a variety of styles, but the single malts usually showcase fresh foresty and floral notes with a delicate background smoke.
