A smooth, soft bourbon from one of American’s biggest and most formidable distilleries.
George Remus is the house label for the MGP distillery in Indiana, a mammoth distillery that is behind thousands of American whiskeys, for which is it often uncredited.
This expression is four-years-old, un-chill filtered and bottled at 47%.
Soft and very drinkable, there’s lots of vanilla and caramel, with subtle warm spices (probably coming from the high rye mash bill).
The bourbon takes its name from a famous Prohibition-era bootlegger, who is said to have been the inspiration for Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby.
