We're continuing the roll out of virtual tastings in 2021 by returning to one of our favourite independent bottlers, That Boutique-y Whisky Co., for an evening of diverse and excellent whisky.
Having run a number of excellent events in a virtual sense last year, we'll be rolling out another one with four of our favourite whiskies from them.
Provided in 50ml bottles, there'll be plenty to taste from the safety and comfort of your own home, plus plenty left over to go back to. The quantities also make an excellent option to share with a mate or partner.
The tasting will be held virtually on Facebook and YouTube and you'll be able to tune in, drink along and ask questions as Boutique-y Simon McGoram and The Oak Barrel's Scott Fitzsimons take you through the line-up.
Whiskies include a range of styles and distilleries from Scotland - and one surprise package from England. The final dram is a very special peated malt from Islay from a secret distillery we reckon we might be able to decipher.
What We’ll Be Tasting
These samples will be sent to you in 50ml bottles. 200ml of whisky in total.
We suggest 15ml pours during the tasting, share the rest with a mate or partner or save it for later.
How The Tasting Will Work
Packs will be sold for $100 (including delivery).
We’ll be sending out those packs as soon as you order to ensure that we can get them everywhere they need to be.
Then on Tuesday 16 February 2021 Boutique-y Whisky Co Brand Ambassador Simon McGoram will be joined by The Oak Barrel’s Scott Fitzsimons to discuss the whiskies.
That will be live streamed through The Oak Barrel’s Facebook page as we field your comments and questions from around Australia.
As this is an intro-to class, we're offering the flat $100 price to Oak Barrel members and guests.
To ensure your pack arrives in time, please order by Tuesday 9 February.
That said, the live stream video will be posted after the live event concludes - so you can do the tasting at your leisure.
