No less than 13 grape varieties were selected and assembled for this Côtes du Rhône C13!
The 3 main varieties are grenache, syrah and mourvèdre, associated with brun argenté noir (called locally camarèse or vaccarèse),
carignan noir, cinsault noir, clairette rose, counoise noire, grenache gris, marselan noir, muscardin noir, picpoul noir and terret noir.
The grapes were harvested at full maturity, before being destemmed. A cold pre-fermentation maceration was followed by a long fermentation at controlled temperature in order to let the berries express all their aromatic potential.
The wine was then aged in vats for 8 months.
You will be captured by the deep and very dark red color of this wine. The nose begins to open. You should wait and air the wine to seize its great potential. This cuvée offers intense aromas of black fruit (cherry, blackcurrant), violet and liquorice. On the palate, power is contained but well present.
This wine should be opened 1 or 2 hours before drinking. It will match perfectly with lamb or roasted poultry.
