An anejo tequila from Corazon's premium Expresiones series that mas been matured for 15 months in ex-William Larue Weller bourbon whiskey barrels.
Nose: Wood, caramel and almond.
Palate: Chocolate, intense Vanilla, nut, eucalyptus and chamomile
Corazon is a single-estate tequila bottled at Casa San Matias, Jalisco. The agave is harvested from the Jalisco highlands before it is roasted in the distillery’s clay ovens for 48 hours. Fermentation is 72 hours with a proprietary yeast strain. Following distillation the tequila is oxygenated, a processes believed to help in creating a softer, cleaner spirit.
Owned by the Sazerac Company, Corazon means “heart” in Spanish.
