An 11-year-old rum distilled at a "secret Australian distillery" bottled by French rum company Compagnie des Indes.
This was distilled August 2007 and bottled April 2019. A single cask, it is 43% with 444 bottles in the outturn.
Nose: Expressive and exuberant. Black candied cherries, a touch of maderized wine aromas, marc and cumin.
Palate: Prominent aromas of spices to begin with, then more subtle notes of ripe fruits and fruit spirits.
Finish: Animal bordering earthy, with whiffs of gentian spirit which gives it a nice sturdy character.
Compagnie des Indes bottle single cask and blend rums from all around the world. They are inspired by the East Indai Company and simillarly search the world for rums and bring them to Europe for bottling.
