"Orchard fruits with a hint of cinnamon, nutmeg and orange peel."
Founded in 1840 the myth of Glen Grant is largely centred around "The Major" John Grant (son of founder also named John) who took charge in 1872. A swashbuckling man who is believed to have owned the first motor car in the Scottish highlands, he pushed to create a light, fruity style to differentiate from other whisky.
A proud brand that was actually available in Australia in the late 19th century, it's popularity in Italy saw Campari buy the brand in 2006.
Carn Mor is an independent bottling arm of Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. The company has gone through a few names, being founded as John Murray & Co before it was taken over in 2005 by Kenny Mackay and former Morrison Bowmore chairman Brian Morrison. Initially bottling Scotch whisky under Carn Mor alongside the production of liqueurs, they founded the Aberagie distillery in Perthsire in 2017.
When Brian and son Jamie Morrison took sole ownership they rebranded as Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers in 2020. The Old Perth sherry cask matured blended malt and Mac-Talla Islay single malt brands are also part of the company's portfolio.
