A gentle, elegant 31-year-old single grain whisky from the Strathclyde distillery and bottled by Cadehead.
Part of the 46% 'Original Collection' series, this was bottled in September 2020.
The Strathclyde distillery is located in Glasgow and is owned by Pernod Ricard. It is famously part of the Chivas Regal blends, as well as Ballantine's and Teachers.
Nose: Vanilla ice cream, raisins, pecan pie, peach slices in syrup.
Palate: Dark chocolate orange, dense madeira cake, soft spiciness.
Finish: Creamy. Pistachio ice cream, cashews and peanut butter.
Cadenhead is Scotland's oldest independent bottler, having being founded in 1842 as William Cadenhead Limited Wine & Spirit Merchants. It was family owned until it was bought by another family company J&A Mitchell & Co, owners of the Springbank and Glengyle distilleries.
