A luscious, thick ten-year-old single malt from the Dailuaine distillery, bottled by Campbeltown-based independent bottler Cadenhead.
This was matured in three ex-bourbon hogshead, which have yielded 774 bottles at 59.9%.
Nose: Syrupy fruit salad, cereal notes, butter popcorn.
Palate: Buttered toast, mocha and vanilla pods.
Finish: Cocoa powder, maple syrup and soft wood spice.
Cadenhead is Scotland's oldest independent bottler, having being founded in 1842 as William Cadenhead Limited Wine & Spirit Merchants. It was family owned until it was bought by another family company J&A Mitchell & Co, owners of the Springbank distillery.
