Single vineyard (conventionally managed) Frankland River Riesling basket pressed to older French old barrels, which were infused with hand-selected locally grown native herbs and spices during natural fermentation. Sent to bottle after 4 months with no fining, filtration or additives other than a small amount of sulphur.
Pale straw hue. A madman’s menagerie of aromas – citrus rind, cardamom, pomander, star anise, pepper berries on a classic great southern Riesling base of crushed lime and jasmine flowers. Pithy lemon and lime, tight and restrained, the spiciness is quite subtle on the palate leading to a refreshing gin & Indian tonic water finish.
