A rum from Portugal sourced and bottled by That Boutique-y Rum Co, who bottle rums from all around the world - including places we don't often see released in Australia.
This was distilled at Engenhos do Norte in Madeira, Portugal. It was distilled from sugar can juice, milled by steam engines (hence the label), and distilled through column stills. An agricole-style, Engenhos do Norte produce tthe brands Rum North, Branca and Zarco, amongst others.
Batch 1 is a release if 1,395 bottles at 48.8%.
A fruity rum with lots of freshness on the nose, there's lots more vanilla on the palate. Finishes with a hint of salinity and mixed spices (pepper) on the finish.
