Norway doesn't have a lot of craft breweries but the few we are seeing in Aus are  simply outstanding.

Haandbryggeriet

The brewery was founded in 2005 by four home brewers who wanted to make high quality beers. In 2016 two of the original founders retired, and the brewery is today owned by a constellation of the two remaining founders, some employees at the brewery and three other Norwegian craft breweries.

Their beers are neither filtered or pasteurized.

HAANDBRYGGERIET / DOK WHATS UP DOK ? PASTRY STOUT

To give it a fruity aroma we added cherries and raspberries during fermentation. The result is a rich and flavorful aroma of chocolate and cocoa, balanced out by the fruit

HAANDBRYGGERIET AKEVITT BA PORTER

Porter aged for two months in aquavit casks.
We only use fresh Aquavit barrels that have been recently emptied for our aquavit porter.

A well balanced porter with a well integrated aquavit flavour adding complexity to a round soft porter.

HAANDBRYGGERIET ODINS TIPPLE - IMPERIAL STOUT

It’s a dark almost black beer from lots and lots of chocolate malt. Its the malt that contributes the flavor...no added coffee or anything else, Its got a great body without being old engine oil and still very drinkable due to the wild yeast we use.

This is a petit saison inspired beer. We decided to referment this beer upon local plums.This is a brett and funk forward beer, both in aroma and the taste of plums quietly lingers in the background..

HAANDBRYGGERIET SURE THING ! HAZELNUT,COFFEE & COCONUT PASTRY STOUT

We used seven kinds of malt before adding hazelnut, coconut and coffee on the cold side to create this rich, complex and creamy beer.

HAANDBRYGGERIET NORWEGIAN WOOD SMOKED BEER 

Once every farm in Norway was required by law to brew its own ale. The ale had smoky flavor, and most of it was spiced with juniper.
This is our take on this traditional style. Earthy, farmy with smokey notes.

Odin sacrificed an eye to drink from the source of wisdom. We have sacrificed malt, hops and yeast to give you this taste experience. This version is bourbon cask aged with added coconut.
