Australia's first pechuga spirit made in a traditional Mexican style.
Black Snake's ASp Australian agave spirit is infused with chicken breast, spices and seasonal fruits to create a delicious, moreish spirit. An overlooked style outside of Mexico, this is certainly not vegetarian or vegan but incredibly delicious for agave spirit lovers.
Triple distilled, this has the classic agave notes but also with mocha and a rounded barbecue smoke.
This first batch is bottled at 40%. Bottles hand-numbered.
The Black Snake distillery is run by Rosemary and Stephen Smith in Narrabri, in New South Wales' north west. Inspired by Mexican mezcal and tequila, locally grown Americana agave plants are harvested by hand, smoked for several days in a hand-built brick and soil oven using materials from their property.
Distilled in very small runs, the resulting ASp spirits are released in equally small batches. Flavours vary from run-to-run and there is constant experimentation at their distillery.
