A single-village, small batch blanco tequila from the ArteNOM series of bottlings.
1579 refers to El Pandillo distillery, whose master distiller is Felipe Camarena. Located on the mountain town of Jesus-Maria With an altitude of 6,788 feet, it is one of the highest producing regions in Tequila and a sister distillery to the famous 1580 blanco.
The extreme climate at that height and prous soil makes the plants fight harder to survive, the resulting brix (carbohydrate) content is what makes these tequilas so unique.
Sweet, bright and aromatic, the highland agave plant character is front and centre.
The ArteNOM series of tequila focus on single producers, with each bottle identified by the producer's NOM number (every producer is assigned a unique number).Â
