An 11-year-old sherry cask peated Ledaig from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle Of Mull.
Distilled 2007, this was bottled 2018 at 63.3% - the cask yielding 252 bottles.
Ledaig is renowned for its dirty, industrial peat reminiscent of coal fires but with an underlying sweetness. Sherry casks accentuate that grit.
Ledaig is the peated line of the Tobermory distillery, located on the Isle Of Mull. The distillery has traditionally distilled peated and unpeated whiskies in a 50/50 split. The heavily peated spirit released under Ledaig, a former name of the distillery.
The distillery was closed in 2017 for major refurbishments and upgrades and is due to re-open in May 2019.
Adelphi is one of the world's top independent bottlers of whisky. They acquire casks already matured to bottle, as opposed to maturing them themselves, and the Adelphi brand has been synonymous with top quality whisky for in the post-2000 era. The company also owns the Ardnamurchan distillery on Scotland's east coast, which distilled its first spirit in 2014.
